内容摘要
The interface between statistical learning and policy optimization has achieved tremendous success in human-level controls, generative Al, large language models, personalized treatments, and various applications to society. This talk will introduce the rise of data science and stress its importance in societal applications. We will showcase its applications in high-resolution socioeconomic indices construction, sentiment learning from financial news, single-cell RNA sequence analysis, dynamic pricing, and financial statement flaw detections. We will also give an in-depth empirical study on unearthing financial statement frauds from news coverage analysis.
主讲人简介
范剑青，现为普林斯顿大学Frederick L.Moore'18金融学讲座教授。2000年荣获COPSS总统奖(国际统计学领域最高奖项)，2006年荣获洪堡基金会终身成就奖，2007年荣获晨兴华人数学家大会应用数学金奖，2009年荣获获得在美国文理与艺术界著名的GUGGENHEIM Fellow，2012年入选国家级高层次人才计划，2013年获泛华统计学会“许宝禄“奖，2014年荣获英国皇家统计学会授予的“Guy Medal“银质奖章，2018年荣获诺特资深学者奖，2021年荣获Le Cam Award and Lecturer和Two Sigma Faculty Research Award，2023年当选比利时皇家科学院外籍院士。现为国际统计学会会士、国际数理统计学会会士、美国统计学会会士、美国科学促进会会士、计量金融学会会士。主要研究领域为高维统计、机器学习、大数据科学、经济学、金融学、生物信息等。发表200余篇期刊论文，其中大多刊登在统计学、金融学及其它科学的顶尖刊物，他的文章引用次数从2001年第一次排名以来，一直位列世界数学家排名榜的前十名。
